The BMW Motorrad F800ST was a BMW F series motorcycle in the sport touring class, one that debuted in 2006. In the driver's seat of one these days? There's a good chance it's from between the debut and 2012 model years.

The bike built in a Rotax water-cooled, four-stroke, parallel-twin engine with four valves per cylinder, one that displaced 798 cc and was oiled by a dry sump; it had a soft ignition-cut rev limiter that kicked in at 9,000 rpm. Paired with a six-speed, toothed belt-drive transmission, it could achieve 63 pound-feet of torque and 85.2 horsepower. The front suspension was a telescopic fork, while the rear one was a swingarm. In fact, the cycle had the same frame, engine, and suspension as its sibling, the BMW Motorrad F800S, but for a somewhat different fairing design and handlebar type.

Other features ranged widely, from Brembo front disc brakes and an anti-lock (ABS) system to a rear-wheel lift detection system. Options included LED signal lights, a lower seat, and an alarm system to guard against theft, plus heated handlebar grips, a tire pressure monitor, and an onboard computer. The BMW Motorrad F800GT replaced the model in 2013.
