The model incorporated a liquid-cooled, longitudinal, four-cylinder engine with four valves per cylinder and Bosch electronic fuel injection, one capable of displacing 987 cc. Paired with a close-ratio five-speed transmission, it could produce 95 horsepower. Distinctive features ranged from four-piston Brembo front brake calipers to optional anti-lock brakes (ABS). The bike was discontinued in 1993.
