The BMW Motorrad K1300R debuted in 2009 as a replacement for the outgoing BMW K1200R. The muscle bike featured a long wheelbase and canted mounted inline-four engine designed to deliver quick acceleration without unintended wheelies, and tested at the time as the fastest accelerating "naked" bike. The motorcycle was never sold at retail in the United States during its production run.
The motorcycle could be equipped with such amenities as an onboard computer, hard-sided luggage, mini-indicators, heated grips, anti-lock brakes, and ASC traction control.
