The BMW Motorrad R100 family of motorcycles, also called "airheads," ran from roughly the mid-1970s to the mid-1990s. The R100 model itself, hover, ran during the early 1980s and early 1990s. It incorporated an air-cooled, four-stroke, two-cylinder boxer engine with 980cc displacement and a bore & stroke of 94 × 70.6 millimeters. A five-speed manual transmission came standard, enabling it to produce 67 horsepower. Features ranged widely during its career; you could get everything from a chromed dual exhaust and telescopic front fork coupled to dual rear shocks to a dual seat with grab rails for your passenger, plus a luggage rack, die-cast aluminum wheels, and more.
