The model itself, however, nicknamed "Slash 7 Airhead," was available in 1984, and then again from 1988 to 1993. It incorporated a two-cylinder engine with a 980 cc displacement, paired with a five-speed transmission and capable of 70 horsepower. Its frame-fixed full fairing inaugurated many of the modern sport touring bikes known today.
